Thanks for posting the
new photo Sue. It is so exciting to see what is happening on set and for him to
share it with us.
We had intentionally NOT posted or tweeted this photo on Wednesday when it showed up on-lin, in the hope that he would post it himself. It seemed logical that he
would since it was a photo of HIMSELF, he knew the photo was being taken and it
was work related. Unfortunately for many fans when he posted today, it wasn’t
new since it it had been tweeted and retweeted again and again without credit to the person
who actually posted it.
Everyone wants him to
post photos with his own comments but if the photo has already been spread
around the internet, why should he bother?
Anyone who considers
themselves a fan of James knows that respect is very important to him. He gives
everyone a lot of respect (and credit) and simply asks the same from others.
That is why when James did post it, he gave credit to the original post by
reposting it and not posting it as his own.
It seems like sharing
news about James has become more of a contest about who can find the most
photos and post them first, whether they are someone else's or not. Trust me,
we deal with the "should we or shouldn't we" question every day.
Usually 2 rules are applied when making the decision. First, "If in doubt
- don't". Secondly but most importantly, we always ask ourselves is "would James like it".
So just because it is on-line and on twitter, we may CHOOSE to not tweet or retweet it. But we will work hard to bring you news and legit photos as soon as possible.

James McAvoy’s in knockout condition for new movie Submergence
JAMES McAvoy’s in knockout condition as he fights his way to a lean look for his next movie.
The Scots star has been working up a sweat at London’s Total Boxer gym with intense training sessions on the canvas.
Coach Matt Garcia hailed the actor’s down to earth approach — and said he’s a natural in the ring.
Matt — who previously helped James bulk up for X-Men — said: “He’ll often rock up to a class, super-friendly and laid-back. At the moment we’re getting him lean for an upcoming role. He may be an international superstar but in here he’s a sweaty hardcore athlete and one of the guys.
“If it wasn’t for his love of acting he’d be a very capable boxer.”
James, 37, of Drumchapel, Glasgow, fits in training while he shoots Submergence, where he plays a journalist captured by jihadists in Somalia, Africa.

Synopsis : In a room with no windows on the eastern coast of Africa, an Englishman, James More, is held captive by jihadist fighters. Thousands of miles away on the Greenland Sea, Danielle Flinders prepares to dive in a submersive to the ocean floor. In their confines they are drawn back to the Christmas of the previous year, where a chance encounter on a beach in France led to an intense and enduring romance.
Principal cast : James McAvoy, Alicia Vikander, Celyn Jones, Jess Liaudin
Production companies : Backup Films, Green Hummingbird Entertainment, Lila 9th Productions, Morena Films, PalmStar Media, Waterston Entertainment.
BD : « Wim Wenders wanted to shoot in 3D, but the movie is financed by the Americans and they didn’t think the film was really a good choice for the 3D market, so we finally shot it in 2D. I immediately suggested film(Laughter), but it was a bit complex. It’s kind of a roadmovie. We are moving a lot. We are shooting in Spain, in France, in Germany, in Djibouti, at the Faroe Isands… as a result the lab would have been a problem. I have done a lot of tests at Vantage, in Germany. They have opened for me all the optic cases they had. (Laughter) It was very interesting because I wanted to mix different kind of formats on this film. For instance we have triedanamorphic lenses, I wanted to crop the picture to form a 16/9 afterwards. Finally, as the film is almost entirely shot handheld, we have shosen an Alexa Mini. We are shooting all of the film with two cameras. And in order to have a picture more soft, less digital, we have chosen the Cooke S2/S3 lenses .
I would have chosen the crew from the previous film I did, The Dancer, but as we were shooting in a lot of differents countries, and because of the numerous coproductions, I had to mix them up.
The shooting will end mid July »
