Actor James McAvoy swapped the red carpet for the green turf on Sunday as he turned out for a Celtic all-star team against Dunfermline legends for a Jock Stein 30th Anniversary charity match.
But the X-Men film star could not inspire his Hoops outfit to victory at East End Park, as Dunfermline beat a Celtic squad featuring Neil Lennon, Stiliyan Petrov, Chris Sutton, Jan Venegoor of Hesselink and Mark Burchill, 2-0 in the sunshine.
David Moyes and Vinnie Jones sat on the bench for the match which saw McAvoy also joined by fellow actors Martin Compston and Gianni Capaldi, as well as Scott Cardle, brother of current Dunfermline star, JoJo.

Strikes from John Watson and David Bingham were enough for the Dunfermline legends team which boasted the likes of Marco Ruitenbeek, Barry Nicholson, Hamish French and Stevie Crawford.
Celtic FC Foundation declared its share of the proceeds from the event would go towards helping people affected by the current refugee crisis; the foundation announced that it has teamed up with the British Red Cross in Glasgow and its Europe Refugee Crisis Appeal.
Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation, reiterated on the charity's website: 'The British Red Cross is working tirelessly to provide direct aid to refugees across Europe who are in desperate need of our support, and it is an honour to partner with them on this occasion.
'The funds raised on Sunday will have a huge impact on the ground, exactly where it's needed most.'
Interim UK Director for the Red Cross, David Miller, said: 'People are arriving in Europe with very little – some with only a family photo and the clothes they left in.
'We are in the midst of one of the biggest humanitarian disasters of our time.
'Millions of people are being forced to risk their lives in a desperate search for safety as conflicts rage around the world.
'Celtic FC Foundation and their fans' support will make a real difference to the refugees and communities affected across Europe and in neighbouring countries.'
Over £4,000 has already been raised online and supporters can donate to the cause here.
